FRIDAY CONTEMPLATION: Ripe, Rotten, or Pruned?

I have been called both ripe and rotten, and have been pruned many times. This Sunday at 1001 Gathering we explore another Jesus “I am” from John 15:1-5. The vine, the vinegrower, growing, abiding, and pruning are the subjects of discussion. Come and see.

We are in the middle of an exciting season filled with opportunities. The 1001 Gathering and Portico’s Breakfast are growing. The Cafe’s Barista Training Program is thriving (4 trainees have completed); and the Management Trainee program launches soon.

EXCITING NEWS: Starting, Friday, July 21, Cafe Con Tampa will be having its weekly gathering at The Portico!

With all this growth, we have substantial needs for servant volunteers at our core initiatives: 1001, breakfast and the cafe. Jesus says that He is the vine and we are branches. Are you called to be a branch in any of these opportunities?

SERVE:

  1. 20-30 Volunteers needed each Sunday morning. Sign up for one or multiple Sundays. (745- 945 am). Between 80 and 100 people are being served.
  2. Singers, Musicians, Hospitality. 1001 is looking for these roles 1x per month. Email to inquire.
  3. Cafe Volunteers needed during the week for shifts on Friday mornings for Cafe Con Tampa. To inquire, Email .
  4. Shoes & Hope: We have partnered with Samaritan’s Feet to bring free shoes to the community on Saturday, August 19 from 9-12:30. Volunteer to serve. Optional foot washing too!
